Faculty

Our faculty is comprised of Artivists (Art Activists) who have traveled many advanced paths to arrive at the same core truths. Yet we purposely call ourselves Artivists (rather than healers, doctors, researchers, scientists, or teachers) because we educate from a core pillar of laterality—where all community members are revered in equanimity.

MICKAELA GRACE

Founder, Artivist

Mickaela is the founder of the Graceline Institute, an Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and spiritual sciences school devoted to human transformation and environmental Artivism (Art Activism).

With 25+ years of experience in natural medicine, meditation, and consciousness coaching, Mickaela’s curriculum provides highly unique artistic encounters with unified field theory, thought leadership, neuroscience, epigenetics, somatics, and original EQ-centric curriculum to clear catabolic memory from the body. Mickaela’s spiritual journey began as a small child and after earning degrees in Literature, Secondary Education, Critical Cultural Curriculum Development, Somatics, and Native American Studies, she has traveled the world to train with master elders in over 34 traditions spanning 5 continents.

She walks hundreds of miles of solo traditional Camino (pilgrimage) while using breathwork and ancient BQ tools for achieving a (substance-free) altered state, or she joins her Temple.Tech.Team on astrological alignments to film fractal geometry at sacred sites around the globe to create nature-based meditation modalities that imbue electromagnetic and cymatic anomalies and sound technologies into the electrical field of the body for immediate release of memory and maladies. This system induces brain/heart coherence at her live events—which also includes the incantation of metered verse (original poetry) directly from the temples of over 60 countries. Her private work combines a unique style of intuitive pattern-tracking, shamanic ceremony, sound healing, kinesiology, esoteric acupuncture, Taoist and Tantric philosophy, quantum adjustments and poetic “karpay” transmissions that unlock origin code for anyone ready to “re/member self” and level-up. The world’s temples e q u a l l y belong to us all.

Mickaela gnostically believes that we are meant to bow to no outward master, healer, leader, parent, pill, nor politician, but should find mastery over self, making each individual a healthier cell in the wider organism of humanity—all in deep devotion to earth stewardship, equanimity, and a balanced community ecology. Her only mission? De-enslavement and #BetterHumans.

KATHERINE SMAILIS, OTR

CLO (Chief Levity Officer), Therapist, Artivist

Katherine is a seasoned professional with a strong foundation in Western medicine, beginning her career in the healing arts working at the world-renowned Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago starting at the age of 16. After spending 7 years in the traditional healthcare system as an occupational therapist, she developed deep expertise in analyzing and supporting individuals through the complexity of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual challenges, with a honed specialty in both trauma-release and increasing intimacy.

Her passion for optimizing human potential and transformation inspired her to transition from conventional medicine into a focused spiritual system for helping seekers and leaders resolve trauma, foster personal healing, raise consciousness, and embody their “zone of genius”. Traveling globally as a member of the Graceline Institute faculty, she helps foster nervous system regulation, somatic integration, emotional intelligence, trauma resolution, and the potent power of humor as a tool for elevation. Her mission is to support the development of conscious global leadership which empowers those at the forefront to function with resilience, responsibility, compassion, and peace of mind.

TRAVIS BABCOCK,

CDO (Chief Digital Officer), Co-Founder of Bridge11 Productions, Artivist

Travis is an adventure seeker, a light chaser, and quite literally sees the world through a different lens. With more than 25 years of professional experience, he has an extensive background and an accomplished track record across many platforms– in television, entertainment, and digital marketing– and across roles, working as a director of photography, editor, director, producer and out-of-the-box creative strategist. His credits include Discovery Channel, PBS, TLC, Fox Sports, Sundance Film Festival and HBO and notable podcast producing in new media. He has received numerous industry awards including 3 Emmy nominations and 2 Emmy wins. With a BA in film and a global creative footprint, he also loves to travel and speaks fluent Spanish.

His years as a river guide still influence his work and his love of the earth filters into every project he touches. Most days you won’t find him in the office, you will find him in the mountains chasing a beam of light at golden hour as it arcs into the water just right—bringing elements of alignment into the perfection of the present moment.

SALIM NAJJAR

CHO (Chief Heart, Health, and Happiness Officer), Artivist

Salim is an inventor, a seeker, and an entrepreneur with a passion for Nervous System Regulation. He received a dual engineering degree from RPI and worked at a Nuclear Power Plant for 5+ years before co-founding the tea-based sparkling beverage company, Sound Beverages. The beginning of his wellness beverage entrepreneurship coincided with the “Biohacking” movement and his intellectual mind and “inner engineer” dove “all-in” for 5 years, experimenting with every technology on the market. He then spent the next 5 years diving “heart-first” (rather than “head-first”) into his spiritual inner realms, experimenting with ancient modalities and plant medicines. This journey has led him to one metric as the ultimate marker for longevity, creativity, and vitality: HRV, (aka Heart Rate Variability).

Today, Salim is recognized as a leader in the wellness community when it comes to all things HRV. His mission is to educate people and bring awareness to the importance of a well-regulated nervous system. After experiencing the Graceline Institute curriculum combined with Mickaela’s dedication and passion, Salim gnostically felt the importance to partner with her mission and support this movement!

And because our core mission is liberation, we hope that all members choose to bow to no authority figure over the self-sovereignty of wisdom seeking. For the truer journey is to:

GNOW THYSELF and GNOW FOR THYSELF.
